Fulham goalkeeper Antti Niemi has recovered from his shoulder injury and could displace Kasey Keller in goal with the Cottagers at close to full strength.

Striker Eddie Johnson is back following illness while his fellow forward Jari Litmanen may figure from the bench after overcoming his groin problem.

Liverpool could be without captain Steven Gerrard for Saturday's Premier League trip to Fulham, with full-back Alvaro Arbeloa also an injury worry.

Gerrard has an injured neck and will not be risked ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg at home to Chelsea, while Arbeloa has picked up a thigh strain.

Boss Rafael Benitez could also rest other star players, with striker Fernando Torres also a possible absentee.

Daniel Agger and Harry Kewell are still unavailable, while Jermaine Pennant is fit to return and Javier Mascherano has now completed his three-match ban.
