Alvaro Arbeloa

Alvaro Arbeloa is set to be sidelined for two to three weeks after suffering an abdominal problem.

The Spaniard picked up the injury in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Monday and had to be replaced by new signing Martin Skrtel in the 70th minute.

It has now been confirmed that he will be out for at least the next fortnight.

Rafa Benitez will therefore be without Arbeloa for this weekend's FA Cup encounter against Havant and Waterlooville, as well as the upcoming Premier League games with West Ham and Sunderland.
